DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES ? Management of production direct
labor for efficient plant schedule attainment through shift
supervisors and scheduling of overtime if required. ? Manage or
facilitate the implementation of continuous improvement projects
and initiatives. ? Support the development/improvement of new
production activities, work procedures & processes. ? Drive
productivity projects/initiatives to maximize productivity without
compromising safety or quality. ? Drive quality
projects/initiatives, fully supporting the company ISO processes
and procedures. ? Comply with relevant ISO processes and
procedures. ? Manages Production Forecast and makes necessary
changes to align with Sales Forecast. ? Maintains and promote a
positive work environment through regular feedback. ? Schedule
plant resources based on Sales Forecast and product mix. ? Assist
and facilitate training of operators in all production areas. ?
Drive safety projects/initiatives to minimize work hazards. ?
Provide effective status updates for projects in progress. ?
Enforce in a constructive manner all safety, quality, work, and
productivity rules and standards with respect to the Production
personnel while advising the Plant Manager of problems in these
areas, and if necessary, issue approved disciplinary actions. ?
Communicate to the Maintenance Department in an effective manner on
equipment problems and correctable maintenance safety problems;
follow-up to ensure that they are addressed in a timely manner. ?
Work with the Quality Control Manager and Engineers in a
cooperative and productive manner to ensure that a consistently
high-quality product is manufactured and for the implementation of
preventive and corrective actions toward quality issues. Job
Requirements:Chemical Engineer with experience managing a
production department in a multi-shift operation with a
demonstrated history of implementing change. Incumbent will enhance
department and plant operations and reputation by accepting
ownership for accomplishing new and different requests by exploring
opportunities to add value to the facility using Lean methodologies
for continuous improvement. Knowledge and experience with
Statistical Analysis, PSM, Quality & Housekeeping systems, while
interfacing with all levels of management team and others. Must be
able to interact professionally with customers, suppliers, and
employees at all levels of the organization.NOTE: We have
