Job Description Job Description DEPARTMENT : HBT Controls Service REPORTS TO : Service Manager or Operations Supervisor JOB TITLE : Service Engineer JOB SUMMARY : Perform engineering tasks as required to ensure proper system operability and completion of assigned projects or work orders in a timely manner. Typical tasks are; as built documentation, wiring diagrams, programming, graphic creations, onsite big picture and limited troubleshooting. Provide remote troubleshooting support for customers as required. This is a exempt salaried position (no overtime). DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES : • Maintain Hoffman standard engineering practices • Maintain industry technical knowledge • Engineering/Programming as required • Onsite Big Picture Tasks as required • Limited travel as required • Remote troubleshooting support as required • Provide Consistent and Clear Communications and Mentoring as required (Supervisor, Service Coordinator, Account Manager, Project Manager, Technicians and Customers) SKILLS AND ABILITIES : • Knowledge of HVAC DDC Control Theory & Applications • Proficient with Alerton/Tridium Programming • Experience with electronics and electrical circuits • Strong troubleshooting skills • Computer hardware and software skills • Ability to work independently and unsupervised • Strong communications and interactive skills CREDENTIALS AND EXPERIENCE : • AA degree in applied technology (preferred) • Equivalent combination of education and experience • HVAC and/or Mechanical systems experience • Computer programming experience • Troubleshooting experience Note: "This job description is intended to provide information regarding the essential functions and basic duties of this position.
