Job Description:
Position Summary The Kenan-Flagler Business School at the
University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is seeking to fill two
(2) fixed-term faculty positions in the Operations academic area
with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2026. The main duties
will be teaching in the School’s undergraduate and masters programs
on topics related to operations management and/or business
analytics. The successful candidates will coordinate with the Area
Chair and programs to determine the specific courses that will be
taught, and teaching responsibilities may include both in-person
and online instruction. Additionally, the successful candidates may
be expected to contribute to service (examples include but are not
limited to committee work, professional talks, and mentoring) and
impact activities (examples include but are not limited to
presentations at meetings and conferences, research, and
publications in field of interest) that positively enhance the
School, business community, and society. Preferred Qualifications,
Competencies, And Experience A doctoral degree completed, or
dissertation defense completed before the appointment date, is
strongly preferred. Candidates with experience teaching operations
management, business analytics, and/or related courses in a
business school environment are preferred. Industry experience in
an operations management role and/or applied statistics, analytics,
or artificial intelligence are also preferred.
