Job Description Job Description Job Title: BAS Graphic Designer Reports to: Engineering Supervisor Job Status: Exempt Job Purpose: Design and create Building Automation System(BAS) Graphical User Interfaces(GUI) by: Using various graphic editing software and BAS system frontend software. Creating equipment system graphic representations from equipment schematics. Populating graphical displays in a logical and organized manner from programming points lists. Creating building and floorplan images from mechanical plans. Collaborating with engineering design team. Entry Level Qualifications: Associate’s degree in Graphics Design, Computer Aided Drafting, or Mechanical Engineering Technology. GPA to be requested. Photo editing software experience such as Paintshop Pro or equivalent Microsoft Office Suite proficiency. Positive influence and ability to work in a team setting. Detail oriented. Advanced Qualifications: Graphic editing software experience such as Adobe Illustrator or equivalent. Experience interpretting mechanical construction plans / viewing CAD files. Building automation system software experience such as Tridium, Alerton, Delta, Distech, Siemens, Metasys, Schneider, DGLux, Ignition, etc. 3D modeling software experience such as Autodesk 3DS Max, Autodesk Maya, Cinema 4d, Blender or equivalent Physical Demands Standing: Frequently Walking: Frequently Sitting: Frequently Handling/Use of Hands: Frequently Bending: Frequently Pushing/Pulling 12 lbs. or less: Occasionally Lifting/Carrying 10 lbs. or less: Occasionally Lifting/Carrying 11-20 lbs.: Rarely Reaching Outward: Frequently Reaching Above Shoulder: Occasionally Squatting/Kneeling: Occasionally This job description is intended to provide information regarding the essential functions and basic duties of this position.
