POSITION TITLE: Marketing Data Analytics and Insights
Manager
FLSA STATUS: Exempt
This position is eligible for a hybrid working schedule, working
both remotely but also in office at times at the posted location.
The associate must reside in North Carolina, South Carolina, or
Virginia and be capable of traveling to and working from the
assigned office location when needed.
SUMMARY:
The Marketing Data Analytics and Insights Manager provides the
insight and infrastructure that lead strategy and marketing
decision-making for Carter Bank and Trust. The position will drive
initiatives that impact growth for the bank's market positing,
customer segmentation, data analysis, and strategies across all
channels.
This role reports directly to the Chief Marketing and
Communications Officer and is responsible for helping improve
customer engagement, marketing decision-making, and strategy
through analytics. The Marketing Data Analytics and Insights
Manager works as part of a cross-functional team to provide
recommendations and unique programs that will achieve business
gains, improve customer service, and evaluate the effectiveness of
marketing campaigns.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
--- Develop and execute marketing analytics strategy and roadmap
for the organization
--- Build a center of excellence in CRM, MCIF, CX, and marketing
analytics by providing thought leadership in measurement, data
collection, research, and test/learn methodologies
--- Champion a culture of data-informed, insights-driven decision
making, recommend enhancements and drive implementation of those
enhancements
--- Identify gaps in existing digital and customer data
infrastructure required for measurement and audience analytics
--- Develop methodologies for campaign analytics, full-funnel
multi-touch attribution, digital analytics, experimentation
reporting, event analytics, brand analytics, targeting profiles,
contact and lead management, and pipeline analytics in partnership
with marketing and line of business leaders
--- Monitor and report on the impact of marketing programs through
evaluation of performance, market reaction, and contribution of
sales and profit
--- Oversee and ensure adherence to timelines, data integrity, and
consistency
--- Design, build, implement, and support the marketing analytics
deliverables, assimilating data from multiple sources, and present
the information in a clear way to stakeholders
--- Drive business results with data-based insights
--- Support media, promotions, creative, and strategy, driving
analytics deeply into the organization
--- Core functional priorities include personalization, customer
experience, loyalty, promotion effectiveness, media
attribution/optimization, and creative measurement
--- Identify and manage third-party vendors to leverage data
analytics and market research to differentiate the bank, enhance
the customer experience, and increase brand perception and
engagement
--- Execute data extraction and manipulate customer and/or
household information from MCIF or other data sources
--- Utilize statistical modeling solutions to forecast potential
new customer acquisition, retention programs, and cross-selling
opportunities
--- Develop standardized internal controls to ensure continued data
quality for visibility of metrics of analysis
--- Provide strategic recommendations to improve customer
experience
--- Lead data analytics and customer experience efforts
--- Oversee the development of market research objectives to help
the organization meet strategic goals
--- Manage the MCIF system to ensure the accuracy and integrity of
data and reports
--- Responsible for establishing research methods such as focus
groups and survey questionnaires and designing the means for data
collection, analysis, and distribution of results
--- Analyze and recommend new and existing products and services to
increase profitability
--- Oversee and utilize market segmentation study to drive
initiatives to grow and increase the profitability of the
organization
--- Gather, analyze, and compare competitor data and pricing
--- Identify external threats and opportunities to changing
conditions, customer behavior, and industry shifts
--- Prepare reports for various key stakeholders including
management and the Board of Directors
--- Provide market research for facility and branch network
expansion
--- Stay up to date with the latest industry and analytics trends
and proactively research competitor activity
--- Manage market research budget and develop market research study
plans within budget parameters
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
--- Bachelor's Degree in marketing, business management, data
analytics, or directly related field
--- Previous experience in the financial services industry and/or
market research experience preferred
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS REQUIRED:
--- Data analytics experience including data governance and data
innovation developing strategies, managing major initiatives, and
delivering results
--- Customer segmentation experience with persona development and
implementation plans
--- Excellent collaboration skills with internal and external
partners
--- Highly refined strategic planning and research skills
--- Strong verbal and written communication skills
--- Ability to lead effectively in a fast-paced environment
--- Analytical and problem-solving skills
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL QUALIFICATIONS:
--- Occasional standing, walking, bending, and stooping
required
--- Must be able to sit at a desk for long periods of time and use
a computer
--- May lift or move up to 10 pounds
--- Some travel to attend meetings, etc.
