Job DescriptionThe corporate receptionist is the first point of
contact that all visitors and customers have with Cross Company.
We're a fantastic company with excellent customer service, so our
receptionist also needs to be world class! They also have to be
really organized, as answering the phones and emails for five
business groups plus corporate is no joke. This team of two covers
the phones from 7am to 6pm eastern, so the hours are likely to be
outside a traditional 9-5. There will be other administrative
duties as required but the primary task is to answer our calls and
help the caller reach the right person as quickly as possible.JOB
- Answer the switchboard in a friendly, professional, efficient
manner to maintain superior customer satisfaction.
- Route callers to the appropriate person.
- Input data into spreadsheets.
- Various other tasks as needed.I. Essential ResponsibilitiesA.
Answer and route all calls in a cheerful and professional manner.B.
Handle multiple calls efficiently and effectively.C. Handle
difficult customers in a courteous, positive manner.D. Welcome
guests as they come in and direct them to the appropriate personE.
Instruct guests to register and print out a personalized name
badgeF. Maintain changes and updates for the electronic sign in the
lobbyII. Additional Responsibilities1. Maintain assigned account
list for call routing2. Help with meeting set up at the Cross
corporate office and order refills of snacks asneeded3. Primary
Staples order coordinators for the company4. Various other data
entry and clerical tasks as required5. Review and route emails that
come into the corporate email address6. Provide statistical
information as to the number of emails that come in7. Sort and
distribute mail daily8. Send and receive Certificates of Insurance
from customers9. Clerical tasks as assigned by the Corporate
Management Team or othersIII. Minimum QualificationsA. High School
DiplomaB. Experience in answering phones using a switchboardIV.
