opportunity. What You’ll Do • Builds and leads a procurement team
as overall responsible for procurement activities for the North
Carolina Region (Morrisville & Holly Springs) Develops the
procurement function in line with best-in-class standards •
Develops procurement frameworks that maximize the value of
purchasing scope by leveraging contracts and agreements across
multiple sites, ensuring optimal allocation and utilization of
resources. • Drives the development of supplier negotiation
strategies and pricing negotiations with vendors leveraging
agreements across multiple sites • Builds and leads a team of
qualified procurement professionals • Drives initiatives that
enhance procurement processes to not only meet but exceed value
expectations across both sites, ensuring cost-effectiveness and
efficiency • Facilitates collaboration between the two sites to
create unified procurement strategies, enhancing operational
efficiencies and ensuring adherence to best practices. • Leads
benchmarking, market analysis and cost modeling activities that
support procurement efforts • Ensures compliance to all policies
and procedures • Leads efforts in developing supplier negotiation
strategies that encompass multiple site needs, thereby optimizing
pricing and supplier relationships • Ensures that procurement work
is well received throughout the organization and supports broader
company goals • Works closely with the legal department and other
internal stakeholders of the contract negotiation process to ensure
that our contracts protect the company’s interests • Creates
reporting for visibility into procurement and budget performance •
Implements vendor management practices that promote cross-site
collaboration, ensuring the organizations procurement goals •
Administers company policies such as time off, shift work, and
inclement weather that directly impact employees are consistently
met • Coaches and guides direct reports to foster professional
development • Participates in the recruitment process and retention
strategies to attract and retain talent, as needed • Addresses
performance gaps, employee questions and concerns, and partners
with HR as needed for resolution • Performs other duties, as
assigned Knowledge and Skills • Strong attention to detail, highly

a fast-paced, highly interactive environment • Ability to adapt
communication style to differing audiences and advise others on

be flexible to support 24/7 manufacturing facility • Must be
willing to travel domestic and international, 10-20% Basic
Requirements • Master’s degree in Business, Finance or related
field with 9 years of experience in procurement ; OR • Bachelor’s
degree in Business, Finance or related field with 11 years of
experience in procurement OR • Associate’s degree in Business,
Finance or related field with 13 years of experience in procurement
• 8 years of people management & leadership experience • 5 years’
experience leading large teams in procurement is required •
Procurement leadership experience should include sourcing, supplier
selection, risk and compliance evaluation, contract negotiation and
financial analysis • Excellent communication skills, ability to
collaborate and influence are required • Experience and strong
understanding of contracts, typical commercial terms and
arrangements, and the use of master agreements, statements of work,
NDAs, and other standard commercial contract forms is required
Preferred Requirements • Prior experience leading strategic
procurement initiatives for a pharmaceutical or biotechnology
company is preferred • Experience in a cGMP facility or working
with FDA regulations is preferred • Prior experience working for a
greenfield construction project is preferred • Global collaboration
experience is preferred
