Comprehensive health benefits package PTO package 401k growth opportunities Job Details Job Details: We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lease Accountant to join our growing Accounting and Finance team. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers the opportunity to work with a dynamic team of professionals who are passionate about what they do. This role involves maintaining and managing the lease accounting process, ensuring that all financial transactions are accurately recorded in accordance with GAAP and lease accounting standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in lease accounting, be proficient in using advanced financial software tools, and have a keen eye for detail. Responsibilities: Manage and maintain the company's lease accounting process, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded in accordance with GAAP and lease accounting standards (ASC 842, IFRS 16, GASB 87). Prepare and analyze financial reports related to lease accounting, providing insights and recommendations to management. Ensure company inventory transactions are reported in an accurate and timely manner. Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely payments and receipts. Maintain compliance with SOX requirements and other internal controls. Utilize advanced Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, AS/400 and PeopleSoft skills to manage and analyze data. Utilize lease accounting software (e.g., CoStar) and Oracle for efficient and accurate data management. Continually update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations. Qualifications: A minimum of 5 years of experience in lease accounting or a related field. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA or equivalent qualification is preferred. Strong knowledge of GAAP and lease accounting standards (ASC 842, IFRS 16, GASB 87). Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.). Experience with lease accounting software (e.g., CoStar) and Oracle preferred. Advanced Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, AS/400 and PeopleSoft skills. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. High attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
