WE ARE LOOKING FOR A BENEFITS ANALYST (ACCOUNTING)
SENIORITY LEVEL: Experienced Non-Management Level
FUNCTION: Finance
LOCATION: Winston-Salem, NC
ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES
What are the key objectives and expectations from this role?
We're looking for a driven individual who enjoys working in a
dynamic environment and has a desire to learn. This specialized
finance role will be responsible for pension and postretirement
accounting and employee benefit plan audited financial
statements.
Reports to: Director Finance - Benefits Accounting
Core Relationships: Internal - Finance, Tax, HR, Law External-
Actuaries, Auditors, Third Party Administrators
Geographic Scope: Local
WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR
Participate in the monthly general ledger closing process
Responsible for pension and postretirement accounting journal
entries and analyses
Complete forecast for certain balance sheet and P&L
accounts
Contribute to consolidated pension and postretirement reporting
Prepare documentation and financial statements for employee benefit
plan audits
Responsible for performance and documentation of various internal
controls and controls testing to comply with Sarbanes Oxley
requirements
Responsible for census data review
Assist with special projects as needed

Education / Qualifications / Certifications Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
3 or more years of experience in Accounting, preferably a
combination of public and industry or equivalent work
experience
