Job Description:
Senior Manufacturing Accountant - Our client, a leader in the
manufacture of quality contract, healthcare, educational and
governmental furniture for over 60 years is seeking a Senior
Accountant. This is a great opportunity for a senior accountant to
work for a small but growing furniture manufacturer. - Duties
Include:
Maintain the general ledger
(Reconciliation of accounts monthly) Prepare monthly balance
sheets, income statements, P&L statements Perform month end
closing Reconciles bank accounts, verifies deposits and
disbursements - Works directly with banks on policies and
procedures Performs general cost accounting for the organization
Provides outside auditors with audit workpapers at year end for
auditors to use to perform annual audit Job
Requirements:Qualifications:
Degree in Accounting or related field
4 years of related experience Excellent verbal and written
communication skills Knowledge of general financial accounting and
cost accounting Proficient with Microsoft office suite, experience
with IBM I series system Understanding of generally accepted
accounting principles A/R and A/P experience Supervisory experience
